Love turns a friendly card With a different story It'll open your heart forever Love is a wondrous game You don't have to worry 'Cause it's easy to play. There's a chance for me and you Making all our dreams come true Trust in love and you won't find A world of lust and crime. See the wise man in a graveyard Scream and cried a different story Lonely people in his old park Know the answer just for everything
The Different Story (World of Lust and Crime) (song). The Different Story (World of Lust and Crime)" is a song by Peter Schilling from the album of the same name. The album was produced by Michael Cretu, and was released on October 25, 1988. With the exception of this song, much of the album from which it came was described as "bland, downbeat techno-pop" sounding much like "Major Tom".

The big mystery with The Different Story is: Why did Peter Schilling fail to release an entire album's worth of new material, rather than throw together seven bland, previously released tunes with his one big hit and one promising new track? "Different Story (World of Lust and Crime)" did manage a minor chart placing in 1989, but the lack of any other new material almost ensured the album's lack of sales. Perhaps he only had one strong tune in him, or perhaps the strategy was to re-release the older material in a last-ditch effort for it to be heard
