Frankie Avalon born Francis Thomas Avallone (born 18 September 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) was an American actor, singer and teen idol in the 1950s and early 1960s. By the time he was 12 (1951), Avalon began making appearances on . television for his trumpet prowess, and as a teenager, played with Bobby Rydell in a band known as Rocco and the Saints. In 1959, his songs "Venus" and "Why?" both went to number one on Billboard magazine's Hot 100. Indeed, "Why" was the last hit of the 1950s.
The cover of the Ooh La La album is designed around a stylised photograph of "Gastone", a stage character of 1920s Italian comedian Ettore Petrolini. The original LP cover was designed in such a way that when the top edge was pressed down Gastone's eyes would discolour and move to the side, while his jaw dropped into a leering smile. On 28 August 2015, the album was reissued in a remastered and expanded form, including early rehearsal takes of 3 of the album's tracks. The vinyl reissue even replicated the original LP cover with the animated Gastone.
On Long Player and A Nod Is as Good as a Wink, they were a well-oiled machine at the peak of their powers. Here they're trying to rev up - they get there, but it's possible to hear the effort, as some of the songs fall just a little bit short of memorable. But there are some extraordinary moments here, including Rod's "Silicone Grown" and the wonderful "Cindy Incidentally," a sweet, easy pop song

Ooh La La" is the last of those 4 but certainly not the least! It is quite often called the best "Faces" album, but music is subjective to each individual listener! If you like Classic Rock & Roll I feel comfortable recommend this . Rod Stewart may not like OOH LA LA because it is the Faces album that most highlights other band members, and he didn't get to suck up his usual percentage of the glory. Ronnie Lane and Ron Wood, Ian MacLagen, the actual musicians in the Faces, cruise through this LP. Lane, in particular, is in his element, turning out the kind of songs that also shine on his ROUGH MIX project with Pete Townshend.
