2002's Weight of the World (released as a Rubber album in some markets) harkened back to the earlier sound of Mood Swings. It was followed in 2003 by Higher. The album's sound was more of a combination of classic melodic rock with a modern production. The album also featured the power ballad "Higher". The year 2003 also saw the release of Harry Hess' debut solo album Just Another Day which was well received by fans. In 2004, Pete Lesperance released his debut solo album Down In It (re-recorded with Mike Turner and released under the band name Fair Ground in 2006). Video Hits & More (2002). Live at the Gods (2002).

They jokingly said the next day they have a name picked out for the next album – just in case – but for now, it was the end of an era. And a more fitting end would not have been possible.

The melodic hard rock band's triumphant appearance at the Gods Festival 2002. This is a very rare out of print DVD for must have hardline fans! Performance was filmed at the Gods festival in Bradford, England in june 2002. Hardline came out to headline the all-day rock festival (featuring Other bands such as Jeff Scott Soto and Harem Scarem) at 1am in the morning and they were very tired, though Johnny Gioeli is sweating like mad throughout the entire show we still see him running around the stage and he totally gets the tired crowd going during songs like "Takin'

eff Scott Soto’s performance at The Gods 2002 was his debut UK show as a solo artist and judging by what I saw (on the DVD of the same name), he took the crowd by storm. Conclusion: a brilliant live album, although I prefer the DVD version, not only because of the visual aspect, but also for a more than interesting interview in which Soto’s whole career is covered. 01. 2 Your Heart 02.
