Complete your Seraphim Rytm collection. Excellent album! My first purchase of a Silent Season cd, wish I had discovered this label sooner. Very nice ambient passages along with many tracks that could be described as ambient techno. As point of reference this album could have been released on Apollo back in the mid-90's it's that good. Anyway, I do not mean that this is derivative in any way just using mid 90's ambient techno as a marker. Look forward to new music by Seraphim Rytm. Reply Notify me 2 Helpful.

Seraphim Rytm - Aeterna If you know Seraphim Rytm, it's probably through his releases as Damaskin, the alias he uses to make rough and grinding techno. For his debut album on Silent Season, however, the Belgian producer softens up considerably. Aeterna shows him throwing away all that rusty metal to let in the softer sounds of the earth-the rustling of vegetation, the smooth trickle of running water-which combine for an almost celestial loveliness. It's hard to imagine a record better suited to the woodsy ethos of Silent Season.
