At first I thought that The Host was going to be another mysterious artist hiding behind an anonymous moniker to generate curiosity and buzz. Thankfully we can all avoid that anxiety and instead celebrate this new project, because The Host is none other than Barry Lynn, also know for his Boxcutter alias on Planet Mu. So why the new name? The self-titled album is indeed different from Lynn’s previous output, it doesn’t really bear much resemblance from the famous Boxcutter sound that we’ve all grown to love. So it only makes sense to create another alter ego for this Northern Ireland musician.

P is the debut album by American alternative rock band P, featuring Bill Carter, Johnny Depp, Gibby Haynes and Sal Jenco. Produced by bassist Andrew Weiss, the album also featured contributions from Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones, and pianist and Los Angeles scene fixture Chuck E. Weiss.

The Host is a 2013 American romantic science fiction thriller film adapted from Stephenie Meyer's 2008 novel of the same name. It tells the story of a young woman, Melanie, who is captured after the human race has been taken over by parasitic aliens called "Souls". After Melanie is infused with a soul called "Wanderer", Melanie and the alien "Soul" vie for control of her body.
