Paul Simpson is a musician, vocalist, lyricist and writer from Liverpool, England, best known for his work with The Wild Swans and Care. Musically, his contributions have crossed the genres of synth-pop, post-punk, neo-psychedelia, new wave and ambient.

Paul Simpson is one of the founding members of The Teardrop Explodes, having helped Cope and Co on their way he left the band to form The Wild Swans. Their first record, Revolutionary Spirit was met with high praise and is generally considered to be the best record released by the independent Zoo label. In the early 1980's Simpson formed Care with Ian Broudie and released the singles Flaming Sword and My Boyish Days.
