Adult/Child is an unreleased studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, intended to follow the group's 1977 Love You. Like Love You, it is virtually a Brian Wilson solo project with other group members serving mainly as additional vocalists.

Adult/Child (sometimes typeset as Adult Child) is an unreleased studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, intended to follow the group's 1977 Love You. After it was rejected by Reprise Records, the band released the 1978 . Album in its place with an almost entirely revamped song list.
The Beach Boys – Adult/Child. soniclovenoize reconstruction) This is a reconstruction of the unreleased Beach Boys 1977 album Adult/Child. Initially recorded as a solo project by Brian Wilson, almost all of it was scrapped and the MIU Album was released instead in 1978. Here, the tracks which were officially released have been compiled from their best sources, and the tracks not officially released have all been personally remixed to match as closely as possible the fidelity of the officially released ones. All tracks have been volume adjusted correctly and appropriate banding time has been either added or taken away, depending on the song.
The bootleg called Landlocked by the Beach Boys is a much circulated, rejected version of what would eventually become Sunflower. In 1970 Warner/Reprise smartly demanded that the band continue work on new songs. The Beach Boys went back to the drawing board, abandoning the Landlocked songs at the time.

The album signaled a departure from their previous records with its orchestral approach, intimate subject matter, and abandonment of themes related to surfing, cars, or superficial love.
