Eldra Patrick "El" DeBarge (born June 4, 1961) is an American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, producer and musician. During the early to mid-1980s he was the focal point and primary lead singer of the family group DeBarge. Popular songs led by El Debarge include "Time Will Reveal", "Stay with Me", "All This Love", and "Rhythm of the Night"

In 1981 DeBarge released their album The DeBarges, which produced one single . The album was not considered a success and quickly fell into obscurity. El was a natural in the role of lead singer for the group. In 1982, DeBarge finally found success with their acclaimed second album, All This Love, which gave DeBarge major chart success with singles "Stop! Don't Tease Me," the perennial "I Like It," and the title track. In 1983, DeBarge's third album, In a Special Way garnered yet more success for the group. El and Bunny wrote most of the songs with El most often singing leads

El DeBarge is the self-titled debut album by El DeBarge. It was released in 1986 on Gordy Records (a sub-label of Motown) and featured the three hit singles, "Who's Johnny," which peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100, "Love Always," which reached and "Someone," which was a Top 20 Billboard A/C hit and made it to on the Hot 100. Singer/actress Vanity featured on backing vocals on the track, "Secrets Of The Night"
