If you're looking to widen your metal on wax collection this is good, but if you're seeking a version of this fantastic album with more depth then you will be disappointed with this. It sounds exactly like the CD just beefier. The vocals get drowned in bottom end.

Redirected from Palo (album)). Kalmah is a melodic death metal band from Oulu, Finland that formed in 1998. In less than a year after its formation, Kalmah was signed by Spinefarm Records. The word "kalmah" is Karelian and could be translated as "to the grave" or "to the death". In 1991, Pekka Kokko and Petri Sankala founded the metal band Ancestor. After Ancestor had recorded two demos, Antti Kokko joined the band as lead guitarist.

Finnish melodic death metal grand masters Kalmah, will be releasing their new album on April 6th. "Palo" will mark their 8th full-length album, in their 20 years existence (starting out under the name Ancestor). Loved by metal heads and non-metal heads alike, for their somewhat Children Of Bodom-like sound taken to the extreme, there is little doubt this new album will fail to deliver. Submitted By Schander. Kalmah reaches 2018 with seven full-length under their belt, being widely accepted as one of the most interesting melodic death metal bands of the past 20 years. The band's first four releases became cornerstones of the genre alongside albums such as Wintersun or Ensiferum, and even the less consensual For The Revolution, which I particularly enjoy, displays an undeniable quality. So it's with remarkable consistency that we get to Palo the band's long-awaited eighth album. The opener "Blood Ran Cold" immediately reveals what we can expect from Palo.
