Revenge (1967) is the fifth album by comedian Bill Cosby. It was recorded live at Harrah's, Lake Tahoe, Nevada by Warner Bros. It won the 1968 Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album. Unlike earlier albums such as I Started Out as a Child, which contained skits around TV shows such as the Lone Ranger, this album sees Cosby discuss his upbringing through anecdotes and introduce perhaps his most memorable character outside of Cliff Huxtable-Fat Albert. In the track "Buck Buck," Cosby first mentions Fat Albert, his Philadelphia childhood friend who was the basis for the hit cartoon series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids; Albert's signature cry "Hey! Hey! Hey!", a trademark of the later TV series, is also heard for the first time.
Bill (1973) is a compilation album of previously released material by Bill Cosby. Handball At The "Y" – 3:38. Froofie" The Dog – 4:15. Fernet Branca – 7:55. Snakes and Alligators – 2:34. Track and Field/High Jump – 5:33. Ennis' Toilet – 1:31. My Brother, Russell – 3:04. Masculinity At Its Finest – 5:53.
The material here returns Cosby to familiar territory, with the storyteller reminiscing about his childhood and - more so than in the past - making modern observations on a wide range of topics. Perhaps owing to the continued success that his records were having on the album charts, 1967's Revenge was mined from the same run of shows at Harrah's in Lake Tahoe that had yielded the previous year's Wonderfulness
Cosby's start in stand-up comedy began at the hungry i in San Francisco, and was followed by his landing a starring role in the 1960s television show I Spy. During the show's first two seasons, he was also a regular on the children's television series The Electric Company.
Revenge" (1967) is the sixth album by Bill Cosby. In the track "Buck Buck," Cosby first mentions Fat Albert, his Philadelphia childhood friend who was the basis for the hit cartoon series "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids". Old Weird Harold, another of Cosby's friends/characters, is also featured on this album, on the track "9th Street Bridge.
