Gérard Manset (born August 21, 1945 in Saint-Cloud, France), known as Manset, is a French rock songwriter. He is a major figure in French rock - a legend, even - and has,most recently, contributed songs to the mighty Alain Bashung's latest album ("Bleu petrole").

Gerard Manset biography Parisienne singer-songwriter GERARD MANSET was always surrounded by the veil of mystery. Born in 1945,,he discovered rock music while attending Ecole des Arts D�co and started playing guitar (he also plays piano). He self-financed his debut "Animal on n'est mal" which passed unnoticed, probably due to the student riots in 1968.
