Hot Fuss is the debut album by the American rock band The Killers, released on June 7, 2004, in the United Kingdom and on June 15, 2004, in the United States. The album is mostly influenced by new wave music and post-punk. Hot Fuss produced several commercially and critically successful singles: "Mr. Brightside", "Somebody Told Me", "All These Things That I've Done" and "Smile Like You Mean It".

Hot Fuss is the debut effort from American alt-rock group The Killers. Notable in the collection are two parts of the ‘Murder Trilogy’ – Midnight Show and Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine. The first track in the trilogy, Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf, appears on the 2007 b-side complication Sawdust.

Stuffed with arena-friendly anthems, The Killers’ debut album, ‘Hot Fuss’, captured a special moment in time, helping define al. ock for a new generation. Published on. June 7, 2019. Proving that timing really is everything, The Killers’ multi-platinum debut album, Hot Fuss, fit 2004 like a glove. Knee-deep in confidence, charisma and triumphant, arena-friendly anthems, it chimed with the times during a remarkable year for al. ock. Guitars were firmly back in vogue and bands with post-punk leanings such as Franz Ferdinand, The Futureheads and Interpol found themselves in the thick of the action.

Hi. Can anyone please clarify something for me. I bought a copy of The Killers UK "Hot Fuss" on light blue vinyl (limited numbered release) back in 2004 from a reputable record store (Selecadisc in London). I was under the impression that only 2500 numbered copies were pressed. I'm looking to sell my copy but the number that I have is 2947! I've checked with a few people on line, who have Killers sites, who seem to know a lot about this and I've been told that it's a genuine. One guy told me that he believed that 3000, not 2500 of the UK version were printed and released and that 2500 of the US numbered blue vinyl came out, not 2000,! Who knows, maybe it makes the higher numbers rarer! I hope someone can help as I don't want to sell someone a dummy. Thanks to anyone who can help me with this. I'm confused. I've got a copy of the Mr. Brightside 7" on white vinyl (limited to 500 copies) and this came to me via the label back in the day, so I know that one's the real deal. Life eh, never simple! Cheers. Adam.
