Description

The second full length album by the band Animosity. The second full length album by the band Animosity.

Album · 2011 · 17 Songs.

Animosity is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Corrosion of Conformity. Album cover art was done by the artist Pushead. All tracks written by Mike Dean, Woody Weatherman and Reed Mullin. Metallica, longtime fans of Corrosion of Conformity, performed the song "Holier" at least twice live in concert (Los Angeles and Donington). Monster Voodoo Machine covered the song "Holier" on their 1998 release Direct Reaction Now! (it was the hidden track).

Their first three studio albums―Eye for an Eye (1984), Animosity (1985) and Blind (1991)―attracted the attention of Columbia Records, who signed the band in 1993. Corrosion of Conformity found success with the release of their 1994 fourth studio album, Deliverance, which peaked at number 155 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits "Albatross" and "Clean My Wounds". Mike Dean departed in 1987 and Simon Bob soon followed, leaving COC in a state of flux for a couple of years. The album was even more of a commercial failure than Wiseblood not even managing to make the Billboard 200. However, the single, "Congratulations Song", did give the band another Top 30 hit. No videos were made from the album.

Text from the read me text file:
Thanks for downloading "15 years of Studio Animosity 1996-2011".

I want it to be known this is not a "best of" list of the artist who have contributed to the last 15 years of
Studio Animosity. Nor are they the absolute "best" tracks SA has ever made. And believe me when I say that it
was VERY hard to pick just 15 tracks to represent 15 years of SA. The tracks I picked are in order as each
represent a year that, to the best of my knowledge, is accurate in the timeline. I wanted this to be able to
fit on a CD and also be a decently sized download on the internet.

I wanna thank Azrael for helping me to figure out some really tough decisions on making this. Az is a vet at
making mix tapes. We had to look at this thing from ALL angles, future, and past. But I think
we figured it all out.

If you are someone who has worked with SA through the years and you are mad because your track doesn't appear
on this comp, please don't be. Given only 15 possible tracks/spots to work with, it was impossible to get
everyone I have ever recorded or collaborated with either in real life or online on this comp. The people that
were chosen were picked for various reasons that involve SA as a whole both future and past and where their tracks
fell on the timeline.

The files are all .mp3 and vary in bit rate but go no lower than 128K and no higher than 192K.

I can be contacted at [email protected] Attn# Ress While I don't do much recording of the
general public anymore, I do seem to do a lot of mixing and mastering these days. I do offer my services for
mixing and mastering. Contact me if your interested and I can give you time/cost estimates for your individual
tracks and projects. While I am not a "mastering house" I can deliver a radio ready sound that's about as good
as it gets for underground and independent artist and rappers. The majority of my time has been used making rap and
hip-hop music either for myself or others. I have done hundreds of studio sessions through the years and I have
personally made over 1000 beats and have almost 200 free tracks of my own to download on sound click. And I'm still
going strong! (You think I'm a career musical soldier?)
