As the band name insinuates, Planet of Pants lean heavily on the side of goofball antics. But with their added boost of power pop, a theme of fun is apparent throughout this EP. With the A-side of "Wired" paying tribute to growing up in the 1980s, the historical pop culture references run left and right. The mentioning of Mr. T, Oliver North, and Ronald Reagan is set to the background of the blatantly stolen riff of Rick Springfield's "Jessie's Girl. With the silly vocals and slap happy presence, Planet of Pants are a complete party in themselves.

The Spiveys (aka Spiveys, aka Spivey's, aka Der Spiveys) were a three-piece rock band from Chicago by way of Athens, Ohio. Formed in Athens, Ohio, in the early nineties, the Spiveys were made up of Jason Frederick (guitar), Scott Winland (bass), Eric Balaban (guitar), and Brandon Robinson (drums). Later, Eric and Jason moved to Chicago and added drummer Rob Wheeler.
