Dead Sun Worship' is a fine addition to the doom genre and leaves you wanting to hear more so job done and well done. Maybe where Venus Sleeps let the side down is in their repetitiveness. Seemingly stuck on one speed it lends a slight drag to the album, which could put off the less discerning listener. It’s also rather derivative in parts, but that is only to be expected from such a young band and these minor quibbles will no doubt be ironed out on the next release. And they are minor quibbles and we shouldn’t dwell on them as when that phased out effect takes off on ‘I Am The Night’ you will be willing to forgive them anything. It is moments like these that show the band to be capable of something special,.
