The Blood Brothers - Crimes. Released thru V2 records. The much-anticipated fourth release of the Seattle quintet immediately takes a beating from critics and fans everywhere even before its release. It speeds up in the chorus and has a nice little cascading piano part somewhere in the middle.

Blood Brothers Johnny Whitney and Jordan Blilie still scream as if they're drowning, but on its fourth album- and first for V2- the band has slowed its sonic pace and intensity and compressed its most breakneck tracks into smaller packages. The catchiest tune on Crimes- the quintet's fourth full-length and first for V2- sounds like a Boss Hog track. Blilie snarls baritone macho counterpoint like Jon Spencer, except he's full of murderous disdain instead of himself. Eventually, he's overpowered by a 30-second throat-shredding breakdown

The Blood Brothers were an American post-hardcore band from 1997-2007, formed in Eastside Seattle. The quintet has released five albums to date, as well as numerous side projects on behalf of the members. They reunited for a series of shows surrounding and including FYF Fest in 2014.
