He also produced and recorded electronic music under the name The Third Eye Foundation. Semtex 20th anniversary reissue. Includes a download voucher with complete download + 15 digital extra tracks. Total running time : 4:19:24. The extra tracks are a mixture of various demos recorded from around 1991 until around 1997. Many of the early demos were transferred from the original cassette tapes that have been kept in various places over the last 20 years and subject to all temperatures and levels of humidity and as such some of the fidelity has been lost  . The Third Eye Foundation. Semtex ‎(LP, Album, RE + 2xLP, Comp, RM + CD, Comp, RM). Ici D'Ailleurs.

Beginning as The Third Eye in 1993, he appeared on albums by Movietone and Flying Saucer Attack and started his own band, Linda's Strange Vacation, with Kate Wright and Rachel Brook; he also used the band's name for his micro-label, on which he released the first songs from The Third Eye Foundation. In 1995, Elliott was one of the very few artists involved in the tribute album for the famous US krautrock duo Silver Apples, Electronics Evocations. He was then invited to open for them on their US reunion tour

Started as The Third Eye Foundation in 95, Released the first album 'Semtex' 96. Released 3 other albums under this name with Domino records, The music has been. described as 'Post Rock', 'Ghost Rock', 'Drum & Bass', 'Drill & Bass' but actually sounds a bit drum & bass/ Glitchtronica with dark atmospheres, reversed voices, broken orchestras etc. Has recorded under the name Matt Elliott since 2001 making more 'Dark Folk' & has just released his 6th album 'Only Myocardial Infarction Can Break Your Heart' See.

Matt Elliott’s first release under the Third Eye Foundation moniker now sits at a full two decades ago. What is most striking is the fact that, considering how deeply rooted in the era drum 'n' bass/jungle music sounds now, Semtex is largely still as fresh sounding today as it was then. Because of less reliance on the overused "Amen" and "Funky Drummer" loops (though they appear), Elliott produced a work with significantly more depth and nuance, which is why it seems much more timeless than its contemporaries.

Discography: The Third Eye Foundation. Wake The Dead (2018). I Poo Poo On Your Juju (2001).

What are the differences between this repress and the original release on Linda's Strange Vacation?

Have just heard 'Sleep' on youtube and amazed to see it's a very different - and vastly better - mix/version to the LSV CD. I always skipped that track though I love the rest, so it was great to hear this mix - wish it was on LSV CD. It's also a great pity Foehn quit after her 3 CD's, and that more people don't get to find out what a genius she was - check out 'Silent Light' & 'Hidden Cinema Soundtracks'. She had a lot to do with the Semtex CD I'd guess. She's only on one track on 'Ghost' and how that album sucked, I'll never forget the horror! I gave up on 3EF then. The gig they did Upstairs at The Garage in early '96 was one of the best gigs I've ever witnessed. Sure would like to hear any recording of it....
