Track 9 taken from "Future This", The Big Pink's second studio album released on 16th January 2012.
All songs started fruition in the Big Pink and were then worked into. at Assault and Battery. Even so, this album provides ten great songs and has ended up being one of my most played albums of recent years. The Big Pink seem to have found their stride on this album. Every song is great, from the Laurie Anderson sampling "Hit The Ground (Superman)" to the introspective "77". This is Indie Rock that doesn't mind taking chances or baring its soul.

A sampler is a type of compilation album generally offered at a reduced price to showcase a selection of artists signed to a particular record label.
Nick Bollinger celebrates the 50th anniversary of Music From Big Pink - the debut album of The Band - by taking a close look at its influences and its effects. Take a load off Fanny. Aaaa – aaaa – aaaand –. You put the load – put the load right on me’. It’s half a century since ‘The Weight’, appeared as one of eleven tracks on an album called Music from Big Pink
Believe in love Call it off The time will come To give all we lost. Future this, extend your range Stand up and then change your name Choose your fix when attraction's gone Make your mark when water's run Hidden ants in a vocal sun Girls in soft explosion Head out in the gold crush Feel the warmth and you'll know it's us. Time will come To give all we lost
That album and Future This, their second full-length, places the band as one of the main representatives of the radical shift that the indie rock scene-and their label, 4AD, in particular-has taken over the last decade. During the first 20 years of 4AD's existence, seeing their imprint on an album was a guarantee that you were going to hear some of the most idiosyncratic and daring pop or rock music around. These days, though, the label seems to be playing it safe. The Big Pink are one of the brightest lights in this new constellation of recent 4AD successes. But listening to Future This, it's impossible to avoid the feeling of both band and label playing it safe. True, this is likely the savviest move they could make, considering the strain that the music industry is under. But it would have been nice to hear the Big Pink challenge themselves and their fans.
