Vae Victis follow their smashing debut release from The Analogue Cops and Blawan with apparent newcomer(s) Nightjars taking the reins but still maintaining the philosophy of analogue processes and hybrid styles. The concept is further crystallised here with two distinct sides to the record; starting with the 'raw' side, "Thing Movin On" steps and shudders in a sparse fashion, using very little percussion besides a kick and rimshot playing against a looped synth refrain and a purposefully distorted vocal sample.

12" Vinyl NL. Vae Victis Records, VVR002. Nice Price Deal !!! Vae Victis is back for its 2nd release and is glad to welcome the very first debut of Nightjars. With this 4 tracks ep the label shifts on a different musical path, sound and style wise. Sound wise, both sides are written, mixed and produced on hardwares and polarized on a ferromagnetic tape. Technically, side A (Raw Side) is mixed with a tough multitrack mixer brought to its saturation limit: the sound is indeed distorted, raw and unfriendly.

The Nightjars were from Manchester, England. The line-up was Ollie Wright on bass guitar and vocals, Phil Arnold on guitar and vocals and Seamus O'Kane on drums. They split in January 2010. The group formed in January 2005, when Wright and Arnold, childhood friends, recruited O'Kane and guitarist Dan Sims.
