Description

The Hiding Days are the places away from the artist's usual day-to-day where the songs lived. It took the warmth of the Evolution Recording Studios' Trident 80B to bring them into the light. Nurtured and emboldened in the Ox-4-Sound laboratory they now blaze their ephemeral lives here. Mastering SID Code: IFPI LP78. Mould SID Code: IFPI 7323.

Andrew Pearse blends al. ountry rock, English folk and lo-fi americana. However most of his influences on the music was the early-90s melodic chimes of indie rock from Manchester and Oxford.

John Pearse (12 September 1939 – 31 October 2008) was a British guitarist, folk singer and music educator, who came to prominence in the 1960s presenting the popular BBC2 television guitar tuition series, Hold Down a Chord. He was born in Hook in Yorkshire, but grew up in Prestatyn in north Wales where his father ran a hotel. In his teens he played the guitar and banjo in a Jazz band, then moved to London in the 1950s where he made a living as a guitar teacher and musician.

Notes

"This won't fade at all.

This album was recorded over three days in Oxford. A fairly efficient return on songs that have been bouncing around for over ten years. The Hiding Days are the places away from the artist's usual day-to-day where the songs lived. It took the warmth of the Evolution Recording Studios' Trident 80B to bring them into the light. Nurtured and emboldened in the Ox-4-Sound laboratory they now blaze their ephemeral lives here."
