The album's sound is a typically sophisticated mix of pop, jazz, funk, and world music. Guest Anoushka Shankar plays a brilliant sitar weave on 'The Book of My Life', and flamenco guitarist Vicente Amigo excels on 'Send Your Love', which has a mild Latin beat.
