this is an amazing album. somehow chapterhouse manages to pull off rock driven dance songs with electronic melodies that fit into the music so well they become a part of the music and don't stick out like a sore thumb. the vocals are very smooth and melodic and fit the music excellently. this album, however, get little to no praise because it is an upbeat electro/rock album in a downtempo shoegazing/dream rock world, which is really a shame. more people should give this album a chance. Blood Music (Chapterhouse album). Blood Music is the second and last studio album by British shoegazing band Chapterhouse. Cherry Red re-issued the album in 2008, prefaced by songs from the Mesmerise and We Are The Beautiful CD singles. Don't Look Now" (Andrew Sherriff).

The band's increasingly schizophrenic tastes reflected themselves in the music from the start, as opener "Don't Look Now" started with a swirling bit of techno-psychedelia, punctuated by a guitar riff shortly afterward. Songwise, things were not quite as distinct this time around; singles "We Are the Beautiful" and "She's a Vision" felt a little too much like pale copies of earlier stompers like "Pearl," though admittedly the vocals were a bit more up front

Don't Look Now Lyrics. Isn't it time to be forever Could this be the only way Merging the lines to come together Is it's only just to say Look at us now living just becomes the easy way Never close your eyes When I'm reaching deep inside within you Listen to the flow Let your mind and body know forever Learning to change these.

Notes from Kris Weston (Ex- The Orb)"There was a friend of mine called Max. He was poet. MaxMax recorded some of his most personal poems on a DAT tape for his own use and left the country, leaving the tape in Youths (walking misnomer) care, which he locked in a cupboard with a bunch of other DAT masters. Simon Posford (schpongle or dongle or whatever lame ass hippy shit) came along, opened the cupboard, found this DAT tape and just whacked it on a remix he was doing of Chapterhouse without any check of anything. He just assumed he owned it. I dont like Simon Posford I think his music is shit and hes a fucking nob. This ended up costing the bands record company in the region of $50,000 dollars. When Max got back and found this had been done he was furious. further compounding his rage was the credit he had been given on the record ‘the crystal poet’ – max was an ex-punk – and the rather dirty hippy name ‘crystal poet’ didn’t sit too well with him. So he complained to youth about it, whereupon youth informed him that ‘he should be pleased it got used on something’ – i think this is an excellent example of youths attitude to the music business. Steal whatever you like, if your stuff gets used you should just be happy, never mind getting paid for it or whether you wanted to be on that record. My take away from this is that youth is a proper wanker."
