Technomancer is a studio album by American electronic musician Pictureplane. It was released by Anticon on October 30, 2015. Music videos were created for "Self Control", "Technomancer", "Death Condition", and "Joyrider". Pictureplane also used an old desktop computer. Brad Hoss, Dre Skull, D Gookin, and Lars Stafford helped engineer the album. Self Control" and "Live Forever" featured guest vocalist Grace Hall.

Sick Machine" opens the album with squelching retrofuturist synth and thick fuzzy bass, quickly taking a hard left into bounding bleak-pop as Egedy coos about finding euphoria in the ruins of shopping malls. A song later, over the sampled rap snippets and diva moans of "Esoterrorist," he declares, "I'm feeling paranormal again," and it sounds less like lament than a return to Pictureplane's comfort zone. Harsh Realm" similarly celebrates "anarchy and ecstasy" while wild drum and bass rhythms weave through a surging sequence.

Whereas Pictureplane’s 2011 record Thee Physical spun queer and cyborg theory into fuzzy house-inspired electronica, Technomancer plays like a soundtrack to a sci-fi dystopian film. It works well as a concept record about trying to break out of one’s oppressive urban regime, with Egedy weaving his whispery conspiracy theories into every track.
