Just thought I’d comment that I played mine last night after it’s been in storage for 6 months. It was an absolute dream to listen to with barely a whisper of surface noise and not one tiny pop (which is usually just trapped static on new records in my experience) Simply staggering and beautiful record. Third recital release I’ve owned and they’re all wonderful pressings.

There's maybe two audible pops on my record. If a thing like that prevents you from enjoying the music, you should probably listen to cd's.

Great album and I'm glad they've repressed it. About the sound quality, I really don't know why some people are complaining about the pressing. I've got the cd and this 2018 vinyl version. There's hardly no difference between them, besides, of course, you can hear one is pressed on vinyl. There are some background noises, some few crackles, like any other record. Maybe I even prefer listening to the vinyl version more than the 'clean' cd version. Those little background noises brings this music even more to life and gives it that extra magic touch.Maybe I've got the golden ticket, and got the only pressing of the 1000 that sounds good, but I doubt it. Oh, and I've got two copies of them.

Probably one of the top three worst sounding pressings in my 1,500 LP collection. I’m actually going to return this LP to my point of purchase which is something I’ve never done in 20+ years of collecting. It’s that bad. Just to be clear, I’ve cleaned this multiple times on a Clearaudio Smart Matrix cleaner and treated it with antistatic products. I’ve also demoed this on multiple stereos including about a $20,000 set up. The problem isn’t me or my equipment.

Was really looking forward to getting this but just played it and it sounds terrible. Prominent crackle throughout both sides. Hope mine’s just at fault and I got unlucky.Not a pleasant listen

Listening again now and just came by to see what the consensus was with the reviews. I'm unpleasantly surprised to see so many people with the same complaint I have, lots of cracks and pops throughout and no amount of cleaning improves it. I understand some people think this is part of the vinyl experience, but they're dead wrong. Plenty of great pressings out there don't suffer from this sort of thing, and the bad pressings are even less forgivable when it's delicate music like this in which every noise punctures the listening experience.

Received two sealed copies directly from the label and both were warped and scratched to a point that made them unlistenable. This was the first time I had to literally throw away brand new records. Made my heart bleed a bit. Luckily Sean at at the label still had some test pressings which he was kind enough to send me. They sound amazing and hopefully how most of the orders should sound like. This just as a warning - it might actually be better not buying a sealed copy but rather one that has been checked by the seller. Also - fantastic music.

Really wish I could say the same for mine. It’s very intrusive crackle throughout and very prominent pops every few minutes.Sounds terrible, pretty much unlistenable. It’s going back but unfortunately they don’t have a replacement.
