Guy McDonough had been Australian Crawl's guitarist, vocalist and songwriter from late 1980 until his death in 1984. Former Australian Crawl drummer Bill McDonough (Guy's older brother) and producer Peter Blyton compiled, produced and mixed the tracks for Lost & Found.
Australian 1978–1986). In the 1890's, the citizens of Melbourne were exposed to a strange and exciting phenomenon - a young sportsman by the name of Alick Wickham, originally from the Solomon Islands. Wickham was as a high-diver of some renown, indeed he held the local record by diving 200 feet into the Yarra, but it was really his swimming that turned heads. He had developed a new method that propelled him through the water at tremendous speed. Eventually, it became the preferred national style. I am talking, of course, about the Australian Crawl
Australian Crawl (often called Aussie Crawl or The Crawl by fans) were an Australian rock band founded by James Reyne (lead vocals/piano), Brad Robinson (rhythm guitar), Paul Williams (bass), Simon Binks (lead guitar) and David Reyne (drums) in 1978. David Reyne soon left and was replaced by Bill McDonough (drums, percussion). They were later joined by his brother Guy McDonough (vocals, rhythm guitar). The band was named after the front crawl swimming style also known as the Australian crawl.
Very rare live collection revived the Crawl's "Louie Louie" cover, but was regarded mainly an attempt to cash in on the band's success before their glow faded.
