Heaven 17 are an English new wave and synth-pop band that formed in Sheffield in 1980. The band were a trio for most of their career, composed of Martyn Ware (keyboards), Ian Craig Marsh (keyboards) (both previously of the Human League) and Glenn Gregory (vocals). Although most of the band's music was recorded in the 1980s, they have occasionally reformed to record and perform, playing their first ever live concerts in 1997

Band Name Heaven 17. Album Name Before After. 版公司 Ninth Wave Records.

Heaven 17. Before After. Although not the most prolific band since the late '80s, each album they've released since then has embraced modern technology while remaining true to their original sound. Before After is no exception, as it sounds like H17 with a fresh outlook. While their former bandmates the Human League may have had bigger success, this trio always had more credibility and respect. And apart from Dare!, the League's albums have never come close to the quality and variety of a H17 album. With these nine tracks, the band sounds rejuvenated without losing sight of where it came from.

Album by Heaven 17. I'm Gonna Make You Fall In Love With Me. Hands Up To Heaven. The Way It Is. Freedom From Love. Don't Fear The Reaper. Are You Ready? (UK release only).

Formed as a side project of the British Electric Foundation (. the production company formed by Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, after their departure from the The Human League in 1980. Known for hit singles such as Temptation & Let Me Go. The name "Heaven 17" is derived from Stanley Kubrick 's movie "A Clockwork Orange", where Heaven 17 is mentioned as one of the hip bands in the record store scene. Miembros: Glenn Gregory, Ian Craig Marsh, Martyn Ware.

Heaven 17 released only 1 studio album in the 1990s, Bigger Than America. The band’s follow up Before After came out in 2005 through Ninthwave Records and did reasonably well on a commercial level, peaking at no. 6 on the Billboard Magazine Club Play Charts.
