Plastikman, aka Richie Hawtin, recorded EX at the Guggenheim, New York's iconic art museum

EX (also referred to as EX: Live at Guggenheim, NYC) is the sixth studio album by Canadian techno musician Richie Hawtin under his Plastikman moniker, the first studio album to be released under that name in 11 years, the last studio album being 2003's Closer. It was recorded in a single session on 16 November 2013 at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City

As Plastikman he produced an extraordinary body of work, starting with the 'Sheet One' and 'Musik' albums and incredible tracks such as the percussive 'Spastik'. As the project progressed, Richie took Plastikman more and more into the realms of minimalism, and 2003's 'Closer' album was the last under the Plastikman name as Richie moved to Berlin, set up his M nus label and threw himself in to his DJ career. But now, Plastikman is back!
