The up-tempo dance song was a top 10 hit (the last from the album) in the US, reaching number 8 on the Hot 100. "I Would Die 4 U" is often played in sequence with "Baby I'm a Star", the track following it, on Purple Rain. As of April 30, 2016, it has sold 561,772 copies in the United States.

The album was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards, while 'I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight' was nominated for two other Grammy's. Here is an album that explicitly references the chaos and crisis of U2's early years without recapturing a molecule of the vibrancy that characterized early U2. Worse, first single "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)," with its aspirational whoops, finds the band cribbing lamely from the bands who cribbed lamely from U. No Line on the Horizon is the most adventurous U2 album of the new millennium; the band recorded in a Moroccan riad in Fez and wound up with ambitious, sprawling material revolving around war, unrest and redemption.

When I think of U2 this is the album that stands out for me. Other albums came close but this is their best work. and "Red Hill Mining Town" is "Elvis Presley And America". If you have never heard this album you have to, U2 fan or not. It is their absolute masterpiece.
