Dol Ammad's second release Ocean Dynamics is a fascinating release. Combining electronic music in many of it's varieties - from trance to new age - with operatic vocals and choirs, and with a musical foundation of metal mixed in most of the time, this band has created a rather unique musical niche. With some tracks with strong trance flavoring and others sounding kind of like Dimmur Borgir meeting up with Tangerine Dream in an opera, this won't be to everybody's taste. Fans of dramatic and bombastic metal in all it's varieties will undoubtedly enjoy this one though. Second album of this discrete band, Ocean dynamics issued in 2006 is an improvement over thier first opus. Here everything works perfectly, fantasy progressive metal I might say is all about here with prog electronic meets classical music and prog metal, a weird combination but works very well in this context.

Dol Ammad consists in an entire football team (almost 20 dudes) managed by one smart brain called Thanasis Lightbridge, imagine where his ego is floating right now, I mean he's the only one with a white jacket in the entire band photo and he added the word "Light" in his pseudonym. All jokes aside, he actually appears to be a very good musician, an excellent musician to be honest, he has complete knowledge of orchestration, electronic music, opera, instrumentation and god knows what else.
