Double Dare is the debut studio album by American pop punk band Waterparks, released on November 4, 2016. On August 31, 2016, Waterparks revealed the album's title, artwork, and release date via social media and released the first single from the record, 'Stupid for You'. The first track, "Hawaii (Stay Awake)", premiered on September 30 on the Sirius XM Hits1 Pete Wentz's Hits and Misses Show and was released on October 3.

Double Dare was recorded in Los Angeles with Benji Madden (Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds Of Summer) and Courtney Ballard (5 Seconds Of Summer, All Time Low). Head on over to waterparksband. We wanted to push the boundaries to show people that you can be more than one thing. As far as the lyrics go, they’re more personal than they’ve been on any other Waterparks release. This album has been in the works since last August or September, and in that time I’ve felt and dealt with a lot of different things. I was probably more open than I should be with some stuff but it’s fine. Honest songs are always best. It’s also got me at my happiest, so that’s a thing too. The lead singer of Waterparks, Awsten Knight, had talked about Double Dare a few months prior to release, saying "It’s just more. Everything about it is expanded and bigger. After listening to the album, I believe there within lies the problem. It drags on. Double Dare is not bad by any means, but it sounds like an EP stretched out to a full length. The album opens with "Hawaii (Stay Awake)", which is an extremely catchy opening track with a nice electronic lead and sing along choruses.
