Inferno (Original Soundtrack) is a jazz related soundtracks music album recording by KEITH EMERSON released in 1980 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette.
Inferno is the soundtrack to Dario Argento's film of the same title, first released as a 15-track LP in 1981, by Cinevox, then as a CD in 2000, with a bonus track of outtakes reportedly utilized in the film itself, but not included on the original vinyl release. The score was composed and performed by keyboardist Keith Emerson, former member of the progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Rocker Keith Emerson composed and performed a number of soundtracks for European and Asian films in the early '80s, yet few of those films ever reached American audiences, and most of the soundtracks made brief appearances in the import sections of record stores. The music Emerson composed for this suspense/horror film features him almost exclusively on piano, backed by an orchestra conducted by Godfrey Salmon, building upon his main title theme.
Inferno (OST) is a music studio album recording by KEITH EMERSON (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1980 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. This is a movie soundtrack, so much of the music is meant as incidental background music, only providing a mood, and not meant to overwhelm the listener. But there are some good pieces here. The best of it is somewhat reminiscent of ELP's take on Mussorgsky's "Pictures At An Exhibition".
