CANNANES, THE 1989 - A Love Affair With Nature (1995 reissue) artwork Back. 1993 - Witchetty Pole (1986-87 Recordings).

Witchetty Pole collects a great deal of the Cannanes' early work (circa 1986/87) and offers it to a . audience - the compilation lifts tracks from the Bored, Angry, and Jealous EP (the band's vinyl debut), the Happy Swing cassette EP, and The African Man's Tomato, their brilliant debut LP. Most of this material lies on the rawer, looser, "shambling" end of the Cannanes' body of work (as one might expect) - by Tomato, however, the band had tightened and controlled its approach quite a bit more.

The Cannanes are a longstanding Australian indie pop band formed in Sydney in late 1984. In the band's 30-year plus history the lineup has regularly changed, with Stephen O'Neil and Frances Gibson the only constant members. The original 1984 line-up of the band was Stephen O'Neil (vocals, guitar), Annabel Bleach (vocals), Michelle Cannane (guitar and percussion), Frances Gibson (bass), and David Nichols (drums)

The Cannanes Sweater. I noticed today that this song has the same lyrics as Cat Walk by Beat Happening. I wonder which one came first. sweater the cannanes witchetty pole: 1986/87 recordings witchetty pole beat happening cat walk music. The Cannanes - We Drink Bitter. It’s a short list, and this song heads it. Please listen.

The Cannanes - A pearler of an afternoon around a Witchetty Pole at an Arty Barbecue discussing the Short Poppy Syndrome. Sometimes it is not about being complicated. Or about looking good. As I am sure you do not wish to hear more in the never ending computer saga relating to the next album, here is a picture of Stephen O'Neil with a beetroot from his garden. Creativity comes in many guises. We desperately need a Power Mac G5 Early 2005 . ghz to release it. In Australia or island close by preferably. Will pay Millions of $. the Cannanes.
