Isaac Lee Hayes, Jr. (August 20, 1942 – August 10, 2008) was an American soul singer, songwriter, actor, producer and voice artist. Hayes was one of the creative forces behind the southern soul music label Stax Records, where he served both as an in-house songwriter and as a session musician and record producer, teaming with his partner David Porter during the mid-1960s. Volume 1 is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band CKY. Recorded at The Ground Hog Studios in Holland, Pennsylvania, it was produced by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg and released on February 27, 1999 by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International. Since its initial release as Camp Kill Yourself, the album has been reissued by various record labels with different titles and artwork.
